Orange County’s public relations and marketing communications professionals honored out-of-the-box tactics and programs at the 41st annual Protos awards ceremony at Discovery Cube Orange County in Santa Ana on Friday, Sept. 23.

Brian Calle, opinion editor of the Southern California News Group, presented 26 award of excellence trophies and 21 top prize PROTOS awards in different categories presented by the Orange County Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (OC/PRSA).

This year’s awards program received 67 entries across 25 categories. The entries were judged by PR professions in Cincinnati, Ohio.

“The entries showcase how strategic, creative and hardworking the members of our PR and communications profession truly are,” OC/PRSA President Robin Wachner. “PROTOS, meaning ‘first’ and derived from ancient Greece, is our chapter’s highest honor and celebrates the best in PR and communications in Orange County annually.”

Reveille, Inc. and Discover Cube Orange County captured the “best in show” prize for the Discover Cube’s expansion program.
