VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR AWARDS JUDGING

This fall, OC/PRSA will be judging awards entries for another PRSA chapter.  Public relations professionals with 5 or more years of PR experience, especially those who have earned their APR, are invited to serve as volunteer judges.  A series of weekday evening judging sessions will be held on the following dates:

Wednesday, October 28
5:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Global Results Communications in Irvine

Monday, November 2
5 – 8 p.m. at Westbound Communications in Orange

Thursday, November 5
5 – 8 p.m. at Westbound Communications in Orange
5:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Global Results Communications in Irvine

Monday, November 9
5 – 8 p.m. at Westbound Communications in Orange

Wednesday, November 11
5:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Global Results Communications in Irvine

Volunteers may schedule a convenient time to attend a judging session, or they many check out awards entries for judging within one week’s time.  Please e-mail protos@ocprsa.org to volunteer as a judge this fall.

OC/PRSA's Annual PROTOS Awards honor the top PR programs, projects and people in a variety of areas, including “A” Program Categories, “B” Media Relations and “C” Collateral Materials. Top-scoring programs in the “A” Program Categories are eligible for consideration for the Best of Show award, OC/PRSA's highest honor for a PR program.

About the Distinguished Service Awards

The Distinguished Service Awards are the highest honors bestowed by the Orange County Chapter of PRSA. Each year, one individual and one organization are honored during the PROTOS Awards Ceremony.


The Individual Distinguished Service Award recognizes outstanding career achievements in furthering the practice of public relations and exemplary dedication to a particular group by giving time, talent or other resources.


The Distinguished Service Award for Organization honors outstanding accomplishments by a corporate/educational member of the community that furthers the highest standards of the practice of public relations. An organization may be nominated for a single, exemplary project or for a history of support.
