FREE PR Workshop for Nonprofits – “Engage Your Most Valuable Audience”

OC PRSA's Community Services Committee, in partnership with Cal State Fullerton, is hosting a three-hour class on Friday, July 17, on effectively using social media to build communities. While the class is housed under the Nonprofit header, the content will be relevant to all sectors. Even better ... if you're a current PRSA member, you can attend for free and receive a discount to attend all four days of the Summer Schools for Nonprofits. Cal State Fullerton's Summer School for Nonprofits: July 17, 1:00-4:00 p.m. OC/PRSA is producing a three-hour class to help nonprofit marketers and communicators learn how to proactively engage their customers. As a PRSA member you can register to attend this session for free and also receive a "member discount" to attend all four days of the Summer School for Nonprofits (Tuesday, July 14 through Friday, July 17).

Social Media: 5 Steps to Building a Highly Engaged Community
Is social media the right approach for people you're trying to reach? How do you know whether it works? Go beyond Facebook and Twitter with Denise Shiffman, author and blogger of "The Age of Engage." This will be a hands-on class on how to engage your most valuable audiences with real world case studies of local nonprofits moving the needle in this arena.
