Presenter:
Amelia Neufeld, California Media Manager, Public Affairs/Corporate Affairs, Wal-Mart

When you are the world's largest company, your reputation precedes you. But, how does reputation management fit into the communications program of a global company with more than $400 billion in sales last year? Amelia Neufeld, California Media Manager for Wal-Mart, brings an insider’s view of Wal-Mart’s PR efforts to OCPRSA. In her presentation, she will discuss the price of not communicating, the importance of reputation, measuring the impact of public affairs/public relations efforts, and the importance of consistently telling your story.

As California Media Manager, Amelia Neufeld plays a key role in Wal-Mart's public affairs/corporate affairs team. Based in Sacramento, she spearheads Wal-Mart's state-wide media relations emphasizing reputation stories that highlight Wal-Mart's four pillars of sustainability, health & wellness, community and opportunity.  Earlier in her career, she worked as a speechwriter in the Office of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and was a reporter at the Modesto Bee and Merced Sun-Star.
