Can You Tame the Crackberry and Regain Control of Your Life?

April 01, 2010

Can You Tame the Crackberry and Regain Control of Your Life?

If you are a PR pro with 10 years experience or more, hold a senior-level position at your employer, or head up your own practice, you must not miss this event!

Non-stop technological advances have given today’s PR professionals access to an unprecedented wealth of information – quite literally at our fingertips.  With our laptop computers, netbooks, Phones, Blackberries, Kindles and iPads, we’re able to stay on top of news breaking around the world while remaining in constant communication with our staff, our bosses, our clients and even our social networks…24 hours a day, seven days a week.

But is this constant stream of information, this never ending flood of communication, a good thing? Or is it shortening our collective attention spans and denying us the opportunity to actually think -- to reflect deeply and devise the truly creative solutions that will make a real difference to the people who pay for our services?  Is it stressing us out and changing our interactions with those around us?

Communications and management development consultant Daniel Pitlik will share some strong opinions on where we’re going in our technology driven world…and what we need to do to make sense of it all.

Daniel PitlikOur Speaker
Prior to launching his consulting practice more than 17 years ago, Daniel Pitlik spent several years in the agency business, working with firms such as Golin/Harris and Fleishman-Hillard.  As a consultant, he has advised such organizations as Omnicom, Toshiba, JPMorgan Chase, Hilton, Ketchum, Golin Harris, Cohn & Wolfe, Sony, Interpublic, Deloitte, Saatchi & Saatchi and The Irvine Company.  For more information, please visit www.pitlikconsulting.com.
