Highlighted speakers include:
Cara Good, co-founder and CEO of Wundermarx.
Cara is a public relations executive and entrepreneur with 17 years of experience in journalism, marketing, communications and public affairs. As an established media expert, Cara has been quoted and featured in numerous articles and segments on business branding, the use of social media in public relations, and the role of corporate social responsibility in brand-building. Her OC-based agency Wundermarx works with innovators to create preference for their products, services and ideas through the development and communication of their brands.
Casey DeLorme, APR and founder of Getspine Communications.
Casey has helped companies and organizations tie together their communications strategies and new technology since 1995. Getspine Communications, founded in 2002, is a firm specializing in social media/online marketing, communications strategy and traditional media relations. Their founding premise is that online communications technology is most powerful when you start with solid communications theory and harness the best (and often simplest) tools to reach your objectives.
The last hour of the event will allow nonprofit participants to partner with PR professionals during a working lunch. In small teams, participants can pose questions about PR and communications, get reaction and feedback to their existing materials, and brainstorm new ideas.
If you are a PR professional who would like to volunteer for this event, please contact Kerry Rivera at 310-468-7732 or kerry_rivera@toyota.com.
You are welcome to attend the entire event, or just arrive around 11:30 a.m. to serve as a PR consultant for several of our nonprofit participants. Your insights and experience would be extremely valued - and the experience and dialogue throughout the event is always ranked highly.
