The Power of PR

The Power of PR:
How Communications Can Change Public Behavior

How can PR pros cut through the clutter and actually influence public behavior? Whether it’s to buy one brand over another or to dramatically reduce water or energy use, changing audience behavior is at the core of most PR and public affairs programs. Join us at the October luncheon to learn how one of this year’s most aggressive outreach campaigns is tackling California’s drought and using new techniques to get customers to turn off the tap.

Featured Speakers
San Diego County Water Authority
John Liarakos, Media Relations Officer
Kelly Mooney, Conservation Specialist

Points of discussion will include:
  • The psychology of communicating behavior change
  • Creating a sense of urgency
  • Tactics that work, and those that don’t
  • Identifying target audiences and strategy for reaching them
  • Lessons learned
