Cause-Related Marketing
November 20, 2008
A recent PRWeek/Barkley Public Relations Cause Survey shows that of the 67% of companies engaging in cause-related marketing (despite a down economy), 97.3% view it as a valuable brand strategy. And, in a time of budget cutting, it’s especially important that brands stay loyal to the causes they’ve aligned with in order to maintain credibility and boost the bottom line. According to the survey, when a product or company supports a cause a mom believes in, she will buy the brand (66%), pay more for a brand (58%), and try a brand that she normally wouldn’t (69.2%).*
