The Public Relations Manager will design and implement strategic and tactical public relations plans for one of Experian’s consumer business units, Experian Consumer Direct. Manage proactive and reactive media relations activities that leverage industry relationships and business strengths. Represent Experian through direct interaction with all facets of the media and other external audiences. Understand and be well versed on the nature of Experian Consumer Direct’s business as well as the functionality and benefits of the company’s products and services. Act as a spokesperson for the company for both general issues and inquiries regarding Experian Consumer Direct.


Requirements:

  • BS/BA degree required in the fields of Business Administration, Journalism or English.
  • Strong writing and communication skills essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal and managerial skills required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional public relations experience. This may be in either an agency or corporate environment. Some supervisory experience helpful.
  • Strong writing and media relations skills required, including experience writing news releases, by-lined articles and case studies.
  • Ability to work with business unit senior management team is critical.
  • Strong project management skills required.
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced environment.
  • Bright, creative and energetic team player.
  • Understanding of financial services principles/applications a plus.
  • Mastery of AP Style, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
