Account Executive, Irvine, CA
$38,000 - $42,000/year depending on experience

Job Description:

Implements public relations efforts in order to meet needs, objectives, and policies of individuals, special interest groups, business concerns, nonprofit organizations, or governmental agencies.

Prepares and distributes fact sheets or news releases to media representatives and other persons who may be interested in learning about or publicizing client's activities or message.

Implements public contact programs designed to meet client’s objectives.

Researches data for ongoing client needs.

Assists with maintenance of company and client databases.

Skills:

Writing - Writes clearly and informatively; Edits work for spelling and grammar; Varies writing style to meet needs; Presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret written information.

Oral Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; Listens and gets clarification; Tailors the content of speech to the level and experience of the audience; Uses appropriate grammar and choice of words in oral speech; Organizes ideas clearly in oral speech; Responds well to questions; Demonstrates group presentation skills; Participates in meetings.

Computer Skills - This position requires intermediate skills in internet and email software programs, word processing and spreadsheet, using Microsoft Office suite products

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; plus three years public affairs experience.  Understanding of the political system preferred.
