Are you looking for an opportunity to use your public relations/marketing skills to give back to the community? The Down Syndrome Association of Orange County (DSAOC) is seeking volunteers to serve on its PR/marketing committee.
DSAOC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering people with Down syndrome to reach their full potential. DSAOC serves more than 2,000 families in and around Orange County.
The DSAOC Center, located in Costa Mesa, is the venue for many of our activities, events, seminars, and support groups. In addition, much of our work includes outreach and collaboration with an expanding network of educators, healthcare providers, researchers, therapists, employers, policymakers, and many others in the community.
The PR/marketing committee's initiatives include marketing for events such as the annual Buddy Walk at Angel Stadium and golf tournament, as well as earned media activities highlighting the programs and services for the many families DSAOC serves.
Network with other PR/marketing professionals and join us in our journey to a world where every person with Down syndrome is a valued member of society.
Visit www.dsaoc.org for more information about the Down Syndrome Association of Orange County.
A one year commitment is desired.
