PR Writing Specialist

EMG has an immediate opening for a Writing Specialist with three years of communications industry writing experience to join our rapidly growing firm.

Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will be able to research, write and edit documents with attention to detail, purpose, tone and style. He/she will be responsible for a creating a diverse scope of writing projects for a multitude of public relations clients. Projects could include, but will not be limited to: development of key messages, press releases, media advisories, press kit materials, pitch letters, strategy documents, byline articles, Op-ed pieces, case studies, white papers, website copy, etc.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or Public Relations required;
Master's degree preferred;
Three- to five-years of professional communications writing experience or equivalent;
Strong knowledge of AP-style;
Ability to interview clients and translate conversation into the written word;
Excellent organizational and time-management skills;
Ability to work independently, as well as in a creative team environment;
Strong written and verbal communications; and
Writing for social media experience considered a plus, but not necessary.

o Prefer full-time but open to part-time (25 hours per week in-house)
