Account Coordinator

Echo Media Group has an immediate opening for an account coordinator with one- to two- years of public relations agency experience to join our rapidly growing firm.

Responsibilities:
• Respond to incoming media requests
• Pitch media contacts with clients' news announcements and story ideas
• Secure media placements for clients and deliver consistent results
• Develop and manage relationships and achieve results with key business, broadcast, trade, and vertical media
• Write key communications - particularly press releases, media advisories/alerts, bylined articles and pitches that meet the strategic goals of the client's business
• Provide a basic understanding of social networking tools with examples of current and successful uses of online networks e.g., blogging, Twitter, YouTube and Facebook
• Handle sensitive or proprietary company material in a confidential manner
• Execute day-to-day client work under direct supervision of an agency supervisorr.
• Efficiency in Microsoft Office, database management and online research
• Monitor, identify and secure appropriate editorial calendar opportunities for clients
• Assist with the development of media lists and other databases
• Support senior staff on a daily basis
• Assist with the management of outside vendors
• Assist firm staff with client, business development and firm management projects as needed

Qualifications:
o Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or Public Relations required;
o Strong knowledge of AP-style;
o Ability to work independently, as well as in a creative team environment;
o Strong written and verbal communications
o Minimum 1-2 years agency experience
o Successful track record with securing media placements for clients
o Excellent organizational skills
o Strong work ethic and commitment
