Public Relations Specialist

The Molina Healthcare corporate Public Relations (PR) Specialist will work directly with the Director of Public Relations to develop and implement public relations programs for Molina Medicaid Solutions (MMS) and Molina Healthcare subsidiary health plans. Responsibilities include:
- Write media pitches, briefing materials, bios, press releases, media advisories, booklets, presentations and web content for MMS subsidiary and health plans.
- Conduct proactive media and public relations campaigns for MMS and health plans
- Develop a database of reporters and editors and establish relationships with them
- Track division and competitive press coverage
- Monitor industry news and flag hot opportunities to maximize editorial placement
- Provide rapid response for news media information requests
- Assist Director of Internal Communications with MMS communications
Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, PR or Marketing with 3+ years of PR experience. PR agency and consumer PR experience is a plus. Media relations experience and verifiable story placements required. Must be able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Excellent writing and editing ability, strong project management experience, internal/corporate communications ability and solid time management skills needed. Strong MS Office, computer and research skills are a must.
