FREELANCE PR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE NEEDED TO WORK VIRTUALLY

Seeking an independent PR professional with tourism and hotel industry experience to work on a major new agency account.  You will work directly with our agency's top professionals providing support and initiating media outreach. This position requires at least three years experience, a bachelor's degree in public relations or a related field, and previous experience working in either a corporate, agency or on-property hotel/resort setting.
 
We are looking for a self-starter living in/near Orange County, CA.,with a record of successful accomplishments and demonstrated skills. This assignment is perfect for an independent contractor seeking to contribute to a prestigious account (and potentially additional accounts), to utilize current media contacts, and to work in tandem with agency principals.     
 
Among the requirements:
.The ability to create powerful story ideas and then "pitch" them to the media;
.A track record in building and nurturing relations with media representatives across all communications platforms at the local, regional and national levels;
.Excellent verbal and writing skills following AP Style;
.Knowledge and experience using social media;
.Familiarity with PR databases (i.e. Vocus), proficiency with Windows 7 and industry-related tools;
·Experience in estimating advertising equivalency values and presenting monthly reports
.Professional interpersonal skills.
