The City of Anaheim, CA is seeking a PUBLIC INFORMATION SPECIALIST. The qualified individual will plan and execute public relations programs for City departments. Notifies appropriate news media of various City activities, events and services for distribution to the public; issues news releases, features stories and public service announcements.

The ideal candidate will possess experience in the field of public relations and/or journalism, multi-media production, and web content and programming. Ability to be on call 24/7 with a minimum response time to any City location within 30 minutes with immediate accessibility via cellular phone and/or pager. An undergraduate degree from an accredited university in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related field is desirable.
