Account Executive

Job Description:
Manages all aspects of service to existing clients including program execution and strategic planning. The AE in this position is also responsible for working closely with the client to develop and execute media strategies that promote and protect the agency's reputation, business performance, and expertise/services holistically. These strategies need to be results-oriented and integrated/coordinated with PR initiatives in other practice areas, (Europe, Asia, Latin America), as well as with other communication disciplines including marketing, internal communications and investor relations.

General Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree in communications or related field
* 3-5 years agency experience
* Demonstrated computer skills including Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel
* Proficient in PR technical skills --particularly writing and media relations
* Ability to maintain/build relationships and delivering results with business, trade and broadcast media
* Strong project management/organizational skills
* Client service focus and capabilities
* Ability to create strategic PR plans that meet the needs of the client's business objectives
* Management skills to grow and mentor a team

General Duties:
* Develop and manage relationships and achieve results with key business, broadcast, trade and vertical media
* Respond to incoming media requests
* Implement an aggressive proactive/outbound media relations program
* Write key communications -- particularly press releases, media advisories/alerts, bylined articles and pitches that meet the strategic goals of the client's business
* Develop and implement an awards strategy that promotes the company, services and thought leadership
* Coach team members on effective media relations
* Assist with corporate communications and any situation/issue that puts the company or client at risk
* Execute on leadership skills that foster teamwork, mutual support, personal responsibility and accountability
* Develop solid working relationships with field leadership, business managers, consultants, team leaders and members, and employees across the organization
* Counsel and make effective recommendations to clients at all levels of the organization
* Develop employees through constructive feedback and coaching
* Excellent organizational, planning and budget management skills, combined with the ability to conceptualize, manage and complete multiple projects with changing priorities and deadlines
* Travel as required by projects and client needs
* Handle sensitive or proprietary company material in a confidential manner
* Work with the media and an understanding of how to initiate and cultivate positive working relationships
* Develop strategic public relations programs that cater to the client's business objectives

This position reports to the Account Director, or account lead and will provide internal support to agency clients.
