Melinda Morgan Kartsonis, APR, is one of nine PRSA members recently elected to the prestigious PRSA College of Fellows. The 2011 Fellows candidates will be inducted October 15, at a ceremony at the PRSA 2011 International Conference in Orlando, Fla.
San Diego County Regional Airport Authority and its PR partner, Porter Novelli, received a Silver Anvil at the Public Relations Society of America Silver Anvil Awards on June 9 in the Community Relations, Government category. The campaign, entitled “The Green Build Takes Flight at San Diego International Airport,” exceeded all of its objectives, which included sustaining passenger satisfaction ratings and raising awareness of construction, as measured by triple-digit growth in construction alert subscribers, website traffic and social media followers.
Emily Schmidt has joined Porter Novelli's Irvine office as senior account executive. Schmidt will play a key role on strategic communications programs for a variety of clients, including developing and managing media and influencer relationships for the McDonald's Operators' Association of Southern California account and supporting media/digital relations, corporate communications and community relations efforts for Hoag.
