You are the designated leader of account teams with up to a minimum of $1MM in combined revenue, and are responsible for maintaining the senior client relationship, organizing and leading all aspects of the account functionality and execution, and mentoring/coaching team members on their career growth. You help generate insight-based ideas per your knowledge of client needs and the marketplace around you. You translate these ideas into fully defined programs, working directly with and delegating projects to Account Managers and others on your team. Your job carries accountability for ensuring the fiscal health of the business as well as all billing activities. You know how to manage assignments creatively and effectively, making best use of the staff and resources within and outside of Idea Hall (i.e. trusted vendors, partners, freelancers, etc.)

You’ll also serve as a designated mentor/growth coach for Account Managers and Assistant Account Managers, requiring you to show mastery in guiding the skill set development of others. You are active in our new business efforts, providing leadership in brainstorms and playing a central role in pitches. As an experienced Director, you take on additional agency leadership responsibilities including supporting the Senior Team in various agency growth initiatives.

Responsibilities include:

·  Serve as day-to-day account lead and primary senior client contact

·  Ability to lead client meetings and serve as senior team member (i.e. without need for Group Director or others)

·  Foster strong relationships with all agency partners and vendors and extended team members

·  Present plans, recommendations or creative ideas to clients with confidence

·  Demonstrate strong understanding of client’s business, industry and impacting trends

·  Understands and can clearly articulate, navigate and/or diffuse complex issues

·  With support of Group Director, leads teams to produce work that reflects knowledge, insight, experience and perspective

·  Understands and demonstrates solid persuasive selling techniques

·  Ensures teams have appropriate resources to complete assignments and recognizes when additional resources/support is needed

·  Manage programs including team assignments and/or vendors using Group Director for strategic input as needed

·  Ability to effectively conceive and develop strategic content/materials; and edit others’ written materials, steering them as need to get on track; demonstrate strong attention detail

·  Support issues (or even crisis) management activities by playing a key, vocal counselor role with clients

·  Overall ability to work independently for the most part and lead the account team, obtaining Group Director input as needed

·  Is fluent on Account Services workflow management and execution; leads teams accordingly as needed on integrated campaigns

·  With support from Group Director, manage multiple clients with excellence and meet all deadlines and deliverables on time

·  Develop media strategies and execution timelines with little input from Group Director

·  Day-to-day lead for media/social engagement pitch teams, with ability to course correct as needed

·  Lead successful execution of comprehensive, multi-channel, social/digital programs (designed with support from Group Director)

·  Lead brainstorms and other efforts to deliver a solid new business proposal, including writing key strategy sections with minimal supervision

·  Serve as core member of pitch team and be positioned as account team lead


·        8-10 years’ experience executing strategic PR campaigns; agency experience required

·        Seasoned writing and editing skills; ability to write for senior level management and business audiences (op-eds, memos, press releases, etc.)

·        Excellent project-management, account management and creative problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality

·        Solid media relations experience with proven program results and success in building relationships with influencers

·        Strong strategic thinking skills, and the ability to navigate complex client needs

·        A passion for commercial real estate, B2B, corporate, finance and/or fintech spaces

·        Proactive team player with a positive, can-do attitude

·        Ability to effectively delegate and manage assignments, and accurately evaluate others’ work

·        Bachelor’s degree
